How to get an A+ for your university presentations or VIVA ?

This is really important to all the university students. Because, according to my university experience, presentation is a really good opportunity for any university student to score more marks easily. Maybe you will not agree with me, because most students think doing presentations is the hardest thing in their university life. I also faced this fear in my first few presentations, but somehow I got to know how to do it well and score more marks. Somehow I was able to get 2 A+s for my last year's VIVA exams as well.

So I think if I share the tips that I used to do so, it will definitely help other university students as well. So let's look at them one by one.

  1. Love what you do.

If you'll get any assignments to prepare for the presentation, don't take them as a headache. I take it as a challenge and like it. Then you will be able to give a positive output.

      2. Finish it in the shortest amount of time possible.

Normally, students take too much time to make their presentations. That means too much time. The longer you get it, the more you will feel bored. Do not take too much time. Just take half a day and finish it off. Use cute PNGs and animations to make the audience interested.

      3. Summarize.

If you have a Microsoft lap, you can use PowerPoint to make your presentations. If you are using a Mac, you can use Keynote to make presentations. Then, while you are preparing the slides, add bullets, do not add paragraphs. Because if you do so, the audience will easily get bored. But if you add bulets, they are also easy to read. What you need to do is, while presenting, you can explain those bullet points.

     4. Minimize the number of slides.

If the examiner requested 15 slides, try to reduce the number to 10. Then there is no rush to do the presentation, and within a given time, you will be able to do the presentation well. You will be able to give a good message to your examiner about your punctuality also.

     5. Don't use written papers while you are giving a presentation.

Before the presentation day, practice your presentation more and more. Go in front of the mirror, and imagine you are the examiners, and perform the presentation. Then you will be more comfortable with the presentation and your confidence will go up.

So I think, using these tips, you will definitely be able to score more marks in your presentations. If you are using different tips to do your presentations well, please share your tips in the comment column with all of us.

Good luck ðŸ’ª..
